A Place in the Sun

I recently did some quick illustrations for A Place in the Sun Foundation. The illustrations were for a children's workbook. Here is a picture I created illustrating "circle time," one of the daily activities for the kids. I created the illustration by drawing the line and color separately and combining the layers in Photoshop. I really like the off-register look of this technique and want to experiment more with it in the future!

New Illustrations and Etsy Shop!

It has been a busy month and a half since I last posted. I recently launched an Etsy shop selling fashion inspired illustrations. I'm selling prints, original pieces, and custom paintings. Lots of different options to match a wide variety of price points! Check is out here! Now through Monday, April 29th I'm having a 10% off sale to celebrate the opening. Just use the code SPRINGTIME2013 at checkout to redeem the savings!

Here are some new pieces that are being sold on my Etsy:

Skyfall

I drew this recently for a birthday present. The drawing is inspired by the most recent Bond movie, Skyfall. It was fun to work with a different color palette from my usual work. I think I will have to experiment more with blues in the future!

Christmas Presents

I drew this portrait this past holiday season as a commissioned Christmas present. I have a better scan, which I will post at some point. For now this is a photo I was sent by the client.

Sketchbook

I have a bunch of really tacky jewelry that I love. So one stormy day I decided to start sketching it. More to come another day...
